Terms and conditions

Scope

These terms apply to every order placed in the Ariashop online shop at ariashop.ch. Ariashop sells used video games, films and accessories. The version in force when you place your order applies.

Items and descriptions

Most items are second-hand, and every item is one of a kind. We describe the condition of the disc or cartridge, the case and the manual as accurately as we can, and the photos show the actual item. Light signs of use that are normal for the item’s age are not a defect.

Items marked “tested” were checked and worked when we tested them.

Prices

All prices are in Swiss francs (CHF). Ariashop is not registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged. Shipping costs are shown at checkout before you place your order and are added to the total.

Ordering

Items in your cart are not reserved. When you place your order, the contract is concluded, the items are reserved for you and you receive a confirmation by email.

If an item turns out to be unavailable, or a price or description contains an obvious error, we may cancel the order. Any amount you have already paid is refunded in full.

Payment

You can pay by bank transfer, with the Swiss QR-bill or the bank details shown with your order, or with PayPal where it is offered. For a bank transfer, please use the payment reference we give you so that we can match your payment.

If we have not received your payment within 7 days, the order is cancelled automatically and the items go back on sale.

Delivery

We ship with Swiss Post once your payment has arrived. Destinations, costs and customs are explained on the Shipping and returns page.

Returns

You can return items within 14 days of receiving them. The conditions are on the Shipping and returns page.

Warranty

If an item does not match its description, or an item marked “tested” does not work, let us know within 14 days of receiving it. We refund the purchase price and the return postage, or replace the item if you prefer and we can.

Beyond this, and as far as the law allows, we give no further warranty for used goods.

Liability

We are liable for damage we cause intentionally or through gross negligence. As far as the law allows, any further liability is excluded.

Applicable law

Swiss law applies, excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). If you are a consumer living abroad, the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country still apply. Unless the law provides otherwise, the courts in Switzerland have jurisdiction.
